Incredible Experience with Gentle Hands Cherished Paws
Gentle Hands Cherished Paws is a fantastic company. I suddenly had to put my cat down, and I was devastated. At the last minute, I had to find somewhere that would be able to put him down quickly. I reached out to Gentle Hands Cherished Paws, and they responded quickly. Dr. Jason was so kind and empathetic to me and my situation. He was so communicative, and so quickly. I felt very cared for in our communications. Dr. Christina was sent to our house, and she was so gentle, kind, patient, and gracious to our family. She treated us so respectfully, and with such kindness. I was in a terrible situation having to put my sweet cat down, but Dr. Christina made it a beautiful experience, as painful as it was. She did everything right.. I feel so grateful. This company really went above and beyond for me and my cat, and even did so at the last minute. I can't recommend them enough.

We now have a new medication regimen and plan to help Frasier live out his best life of whatever he has left.
Highly highly recommend. We sought out palliative geriatric care. We have a 17+ yo small dog who we wanted to focus on comfort and quality of life for what time he has left and chose Gentle Hands for palliative care. Our first visit with Dr Christina was wonderful. She showed our old grumpy dog compassion and understanding. We now have a new medication regimen and a plan to help Frasier live out his best life of whatever he has left. Even though our regular visit is great, in his advanced age with sight and hearing loss now Frasier’s experience with Dr. Christina was so much less stressful than going to a clinic vet visit.

Truly Gentle and Caring
The most difficult part of loving a pet is letting them go when it's time. Jason took the time on the phone to talk about when to know the time to let go. When he came to my house he explained everything that was going to happen. What he was going to do and how my beautiful fur baby may react. He was so caring and so gentle to both her and to me. I can not recommend him and Gentle Hands enough. It was so difficult to let my wonderful, but very sick cat go, but Jason made this difficult time easier. Thanks Jason for everything.

Everything was made so easy for me, which was critical due to the fragile state I was in.
I had the unfortunate decision to lay my precious Audrey to rest after 21 years of time together. I didn't know where to start with something like this and I came across Gentle Hands, Cherished Paws. After a call with them, I knew I was in the right place. Everything was made so easy for me, which was critical due to the fragile state I was in. Christina Crouthers was so patient and kind through the process. She communicated well and didn't rush any of the last moments I had with Audrey. Even during a sad time, it was a special and loving event. I am so thankful to this company and the great staff they have!

To be able to keep her comfortable at home was a top priority for us and their team was responsive, compassionate, and patient.
We had a wonderful experience with Gentle Hands after making the tough decision that it was time to say goodby to our sweet Luna pup. To be able to keep her comfortable at home was a top priority for us and their team was responsive, compassionate and patient.

It was sad but done so well as everything was taken into consideration.
On Friday July 5 we took our 18 year old cat to the vet. We knew she had something wrong and was confirmed that she had a tumor under her tongue and she was not able to eat or drink. So as a family we decided to have her put down in no better term, by Saturday as she wasn’t gonna miraculously get cured. So we called Dr Jason the vet and scheduled to have him come on Monday. Dr Jason was so kind and caring and thoughtful on handling of our cat on the whole procedure into transitioning her to the next world. He also was considerate of our questions and our feelings as well. It was bittersweet but a beautiful caring exit for our cat. It was like hospice for animals the same care was given!!! I would absolutely recommend this over going into an office 100 times over. It was sad but done so well as everything was taken into consideration . You will not be disappointed I promise!!!

The kind of compassion I needed for the worse day of my life.
I knew saying goodbye to my Hannah would be the most difficult time of my life. GHCP with DR. Jason and his compassion helped me be able to conquer this task. Dr. Jason explained everything on what to expect and my Hannah went peacefully in the comfort of her own home. i wouldn't do it any other way. Thank you Dr. Jason for your support and helping me get through what was best for my sweet girl. I am missing her dearly ugh

If it wasn't for the compassionate team of GHCP to help us get through this process in the comfort of our own home, I honestly don't know how I would have been able to conquer this task.

I knew having to say goodbye to our beloved Hannah would be one of the worse days of my life. Dr. Jason was so compassionate and explained the procedure to us to make this day somewhat bearable. Having to say goodbye to Hanna in the comfort of our home, I knew she was at peace. I wouldn't do it any other way. Thank you Dr. Jason for making this day somewhat peaceful. Gentle Hands Cherished Paws highly recommended.

On the worst day of my life, I wanted to make sure I had the best there was. And this is it.
After looking through many vets offering at home end of life care for my beloved 11 year old dog, I know I made the best decision in GHCP. Through the entire process, Dr Jason was kind, caring, gentle, and compassionate. He gave us as much time as we needed and allowed us the space to grieve our beautiful boy. Seeing the GHCP website and reading through every inch of it, I just knew. On the worst day of my life, I wanted to make sure I had the best there was. And this is it.

They took an absolutely horrible situation and made it quite bearable.
What can I say? They took an absolutely horrible situation and made it quite bearable. She was very empathetic and compassionate, she did not rush at all. Despite my having gone through similar experiences prior and being in the medical field myself, she still explained everything, which I needed and loved! The way she treated both of my cats was wonderful! I would highly recommend them!

A life well lived
We had to make the difficult decision that it was time for Lucis, our almost 16 year old Lab, to pass on. The day was full of sunshine so we could be out on the back porch, Lucis's favorite place for a sunbath. As he licked peanut butter from a plate, Jason gently and calmly set the stage for what to expect. Jason was so compassionate and gentle, with us as well as Lucis. His calm presence and accepting nature made it easier for us to be present as Lucus's leaving unfolded.
I was especially grateful for his patients as Lucis seemed to wake up a bit after the sedative was given. He oh-so-gently tested his reflexes and, after giving him time and space, opted to give Lucis a bit more sedative. Lucis drifted peacefully off with a gentle snore and then passed quickly and peacefully after the second injection. We are so tremendously grateful that the process was so peaceful and gave us the time and space to send Lucis off surrounded by people who love him.
We felt so safe with Jason there and knew that we and Lucis was in very good hands. Thank you, Jason, for helping us all make that transition. It will remain a treasured memory. We are so thankful that you are in the world doing this work and helping make this process easier for us and our pets. Thank you so much!

Facing what I believed was the inevitable loss of Adonis due to dementia and mobility issues, Dr. Jason offered an unexpected glimmer of hope.
I’m not usually one for Google reviews, but the extraordinary service provided by Dr. Jason and his mobile pet clinic compels me to share my story. Dr. Jason specializes in compassionate care for aging pets and those nearing the end of their journey. His focus on in-home palliative care and euthanasia offers a deeply personalized and respectful approach to a pet’s final moments.Dr. Jason has visited my home twice to assist in saying goodbye to my beloved cats. His sensitivity and attentiveness to our family’s needs made these farewells as comforting as possible, leaving me with no regrets and a profound sense of gratitude for his service.
In-home euthanasia, as Dr. Jason practices, is something I strongly recommend for its tailored and intimate nature. However, it was my experience with my aging dog, Adonis, that truly underscored the value of Dr. Jason’s work. Facing what I believed was the inevitable loss of Adonis due to dementia and mobility issues, Dr. Jason offered an unexpected glimmer of hope. Instead of confirming it was time to say goodbye, he suggested a different path - a treatment plan that might offer Adonis more quality time. Skeptical but willing, we followed his advice, and the transformation in Adonis was nothing short of miraculous. Three weeks later, it’s as if I have a brand new dog. Adonis is not only more active but also more present and connected with us than he has been in years, emerging from the fog of dementia to once again be a joyful part of our family.
This turnaround, which has granted us not just more time but more meaningful time with Adonis, is a testament to Dr. Jason’s expertise, compassion, and commitment to his patients. His work deserves recognition and commendation. For anyone considering palliative care or facing the difficult decision of euthanasia for their pet, Dr. Jason’s mobile clinic is an invaluable resource. His approach not only offers comfort and closure when it’s time to say goodbye but also a chance at more precious moments when hope seems lost.
Thank you, Dr. Jason, for the incredible difference you’ve made in our lives and for the extra time with Adonis that we now cherish every day.

The compassion, empathy, skill, patience, and loving care of Dr. Christina was greatly appreciated, making a sharp and painful time softer - providing a more peaceful passing for our Apollo at home, in his own backyard surrounded by his family, rather than at the vets office - which he hated. It was heartbreaking to let him go - and everyone we spoke with at Gentle Hands Cherished Paws from scheduling through services was compassionate, kind, and caring. Highly recommend.

Mati fell asleep in his gentle hands, surrounded by her entire family, in her bed, in her house.
Our daughter contacted Gentle Hands to help us go through the hard time to say goodbye to our lovely 14-year-old Matilda. We couldn't be more grateful for everything Matilda brought into our lives and it was a difficult decision to let her go. Since Dr. Goodwin arrived, he was very professional and human. After examining our dog, he clearly explained his condition and how the process was going to be like. He was very patient and affectionate with us and Matilda. Mati fell asleep in his gentle hands. surrounded by her entire family, in her bed and in her house. She deserved her passage across the rainbow to be like this, without a hospital, without strangers, surrounded by love. Despite the emptiness, we cannot be more grateful to Dr. Goodwin and Gentle Hands.

Instead of only painful, the memory is also beautiful and I find it comforts me in my grief to know how at peace she was.
Hello, if you're reading this you may be making the difficult decision to say your final goodbye to your faithful companion. I just wanted to first say that I'm sorry you're going through this.
On 1/5/23 I was informed that it was time to say goodbye to my best friend, Artemis. I chose Gentle Hands Cherished Paws and contacted Dr. Jason, and he was able to schedule for the day and time we wanted.
On 1/9/23 we said goodbye to Artemis. Dr. Jason explained everything clearly to the family beforehand and let us ask our questions. He was kind and empathetic.
The procedure itself was peaceful and calm. We played her favorite music. Instead of only painful, the memory is also beautiful and I find it comforts me in my grief to know how at peace she was.
I was given a small glass bottle of her fur, and Dr. Jason made a paw print in clay for us. He wrapped her gently in blankets and laid her in a wicker basket to take her to Resting Waters to be aquamated.
Thank you, Gentle Hands Cherished Paws.

[...] I can't think of anyone better to assist you than Gentle Paws.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Christina and Gentle Paws. One of the hardest decisions a pet owner/lover will ever have to make is when to let your sweet fur baby pass to the next life. Our sweet Charlie gave us 15 amazing years and when his health failed we knew we did not want him to pass anywhere but in his bed in his house. We called Gentle Paws and Dr Christina came out on a Saturday. Her demeanor is so calming and professional. She explained how the process was going to go and what she was doing every step of the way. Our Charlie passed peacefully in his own bed. If you are ever in the place where this difficult and painful decision has to be made, and you have the opportunity to carry it out in your home, I can't think of anyone better to assist you than Gentle Paws.
- Chad L.
We felt at peace with the whole process.
Due to our sweet Luna's condition we were in immediate need of their services and they were willing and able to accommodate our preferred schedule and timing. Dr. Christina was so kind and patient with us. She walked us through the entire process and not once did we feel rushed. She was so gentle with her and caring towards us. We felt at peace with the whole process. They were wonderful and we highly recommend!

Punky's blanket made it back home with her as well :) Outstanding care from the entire team.
I've been meaning to leave a review for Dr. Jason for some time as he provided such great care to my dear Punky until the very end. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. Jason for Punky's initial quality of life assessment as we were concerned about whether or not it was time for us to say goodbye to her due to new symptoms arising. He informed us that she seemed to still be in fair health, and gave us suggestions regarding her medication regiment. After that appointment, he was very responsive to emails even after whenever I had various questions, seeking out guidance about how to care for Punky and navigate through the challenges with her dementia.
About a year after, my husband and I had to make the most difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved Punky since her health was declining. It pains me to think of that whole process and that last day we had with her, but we are thankful to have Dr. Jason there with us every step of the way. He was very patient and thorough as I had a lot of questions, wanting to know what to expect since this was the first time I've done an in-home euthanization and have been present during the process. I appreciated how he carefully wrapped Punky in one of her favorite blankets at the end, which was eventually returned to us after aquamation with Resting Waters in Seattle. Dr. Jason also told my husband and I to reach out to him if we had questions regarding Punky's doggy sibling's grieving process, which we did reach out about, and again, received a helpful and swift response to from Dr. Jason.
Dr. Jason's staff was wonderful as well as they were all so kind and caring. We appreciated the transportation services to and from Resting Waters, and had Punky returned back home to us by one of Dr. Jason's lovely staff members. Punky's blanket made it back home with her as well :) Outstanding care from the entire team.

I knew both Magic and I were in good capable hands.
I had to put my best friend and my hero... my dog....to sleep a couple of weeks ago after a week of trying to figure out what was wrong with her to no avail, I only wanted her to stop suffering once I realized she was not going to turn the corner after I took her home. I also knew I wanted her to be at home with me when she passed. I looked up several end of life services and contacted Gentle Hands and left a message for Dr. Jason Goodwin.
He contacted me back a few hours later. From the initial call I could hear the compassion in his voice and so I set a date with him to come out the following day. When he arrived my dog still trying to be the great guard dog she was started barking at him. He walked straight over to her and calmed her down with his kind demeanor. She ended up having an issue with her walking and none of the other vets she had seen knew what was wrong.
He took a treat and did a quick range of motion test on her head and told me her neck was kinked or hurt in some way. This was on top of the other issues she was having. He was amazing! He was gentle, kind and explained to me step by step what was going to happen, why and what I could expect.
I knew I both Magic and I were in good capable hands. Magic passed on my couch with her head in my hands, peacefully and without pain. I never felt pressured to hurry up as I believe Dr. Jason respected both of us and the process. He allowed me to stay with her and when it was time he went to get a gurney out of his vehicle. She was wrapped in a blanket and secured. We both took her to his vehicle. I also paid to have her remains saved so he took her to the place to have her cremated. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, caring and kindness of Dr. Jason Goodwin. This was the first dog I have ever had to put to sleep. I own a bed bug detection dog business and she built my business. She was truly my partner, and best friend. I miss her dearly and could not have asked for a better passing for her. If you have to go through the process this is the man and company to choose!

Meeting the Moment...
No words can describe the gift of love I was given when meeting Dr. Jason. I knew instantly, he was who I wanted with me and my beloved golden doodle, Jaxon, on the day we had to say goodbye, because he would "meet the magnitude of the moment." Throughout the last month of our collective journey, Dr. Jason was attentive, responsive, kind, warm, and sensitive. Letting go of Jax was the hardest thing I've ever had to do but thanks to Dr. Jason, I will forever remember our time as peaceful and loving. In the many difficult moments since, I find comfort in knowing, above all, we honored Jaxon and the 15 years we spent together as soulmates and best friends.

Dr Christina is the most gentle and compassionate person. Just incredible.
Dr Christina is the most gentle and compassionate person. Just incredible. She explained everything including to my 6 year old son and was a calming presence to our family on a dark day. I am so grateful she was able to help Dexter.
Gentle hands came with less than 24 hours notice and the first thing Dr Jason said on the phone was "I am so sorry you're calling me." The compassion and care our family received was so comforting. Thank you for being here.

Thank you Dr. Jason for your help with our Yoda.
Dr. Jason was able to accommodate us at less than a day’s notice. He explained everything, was very kind, respectful, empathetic but not over the top to make us more upset, everything you need at a devastating time like this. We love the paw print. Thank you Dr. Jason for your help with our Yoda.

It was such a sweet and more compassionate departure...
Dr. Goodwin helped my sweet Rhoda with hospice care and her aftercare. He was kind, compassionate, supportive, and very patient dealing with a very anxious cat momma. After Rhoda died, I assumed she would be picked up and carried out in a regular pet carrier, but Dr. Goodwin left with her wrapped and covered in soft blankets and placed in a wicker basket. It was such a sweet and more compassionate departure for my sweet kitten.
If you decide to do hospice care for your pet (or any at-home vet care/aftercare), please consider hiring Gentle Hands Cherished Paws. Not only will you improve the comfort of your pet, but you also get the support you need as the care giver.

... Their love for animals is imprinted on their souls.
Dr. Jason, Tory and staff are amazing human beings. They are so compassionate and their love for animals is imprinted on their souls. Dr. Jason has been with me and/or my dad at least 10 times over the past 12 years to help our furry family members (both dogs and cats) cross over. He makes a very hard day as calming and comforting as it can be. He explains every step of the process along the way. If you are still trying to figure out what the path should be for you and your pet, he is also a wealth of knowledge and great help in making those decisions. I highly recommend his services.

We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful company[...]!
Dr. Jason was so calming, caring & gentle with our sweet boy, Riley. From the moment he arrived, to the time he left, he made such a difficult time into a very peaceful decision. We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful company like yours! Also, a big thank you to Jacob, for bringing our boy home to us. A+++ rating/experience!!!

The Sweetest Girl
I want to thank Gentle Hands Cherished Paws for being so gentle and understanding when I made the decision no pet owner wants to make. Thank you Jason, very much.
Jason is very professional. He states early on how the euthanize procedure will happen. He answers any questions you may have and lets you take your time to say goodbye to your pet. We are very glad we chose Gentle Hands Cherished Paws to guide us through our final moments with our loving cat Maya.

... The kind of compassion you need when you're looking for help.
Although I did not end up using Dr. Jason's service due to scheduling challenges, I was very impressed with his kindness! He even called back to make sure I had found the help I was looking for. That's the kind of compassion you need when your looking for help.

Thank you for your compassion
We are so thankful for the kindness and compassion shown by Gentle Hands Cherished Paws. I spoke with Dr. Jason last week to discuss a consultation for our beloved Sir Bon Bon who had longstanding gut motility and constipation issues. Since adoption in April 2021 we have tried switching his diet, changing brands, high fiber vs low fiber, and putting him on stool softeners and meds. He had several vet visits and a hospital at the local ER hospital for deobstipation. Our Bon Bon appeared to be having more frequent flares and appeared to be in pain. He started eating less, became more lethargic, and hid more from us. I have never had to make this type of call before on any of my furry friends in the past so I didn’t know quite what to expect. Dr. Jason was so kind to listen and set up an appointment for a consultation the following day. The vet that came out to the house the next day (I’m so sorry, I wish I could recall her name) was so kind, so compassionate and had thoroughly reviewed Bon Bon’s records upon arrival. We were able to ask questions about his long-standing quality of life and an exam confirmed our worst fears. He was severely obstipated. With her guidance, we decided that since he was on the upper dosing max for all the meds and had had so many prior procedures before for a clean out that we would say goodbye to our beloved friend. She explained everything so well, was so gentle with Bon Bon, and allowed us time to give him kisses and hugs. Your kindness and compassion during the whole time were just amazing and comforting to us in a very difficult time for us. We truly can’t express in words just how thankful we feel. From the bottom of our hearts thank you. The Whitby Family

Simply the Best
I will be eternally grateful to Dr Christina for her care, kindness, compassion, gentleness, and support during the euthanasia of my beloved Zoey. The injection of sleeping medication and then pentobarbital was quick. Zoey was very peaceful and calm after days of pain and suffering. I am so grateful that Zoey's final moments were in the comfort of her home and sleeping pain free on my lap. Gentle Hands Cherished Paws are simply the best.

Peaceful Departure
We have had to put 7 animals down so far in my lifetime and by far Dr. Jason’s process was the best. In my past experiences the sedation part prior to the injection of the pentobarbital is very quick. Dr. Jason’s sedation medication was just enough to allow her to go to sleep slowly which gave us plenty of time to say goodbye to her and comfort her while she was moving through this journey. It wasn’t rushed. Also, Dr. Jason was very compassionate and very patient through the whole process.

I could not recommend his services highly enough...
I am so thankful for Dr. Jason and his care when it came time for my sweet old dog to transition to her next life earlier this week. He responded promptly to my message requesting services, and it was immediately apparent from his tone and thoroughness on the phone that he was the right person to help. He arrived on time and took great care of my girl throughout the euthanasia process and after. Through his time at my home, he was gentle in his tone and physical care of my dog, and explained all the steps to his process. At each stage, he was careful to make sure I was ready to move forward, and at the end he gently and respectfully wrapped my girl in blankets to be carried away. I could not recommend his services highly enough, for such a sad time I was glad we were in his care.

We are extremely grateful for...
We are extremely grateful for the care, kindness and compassion that Dr. Christina Crouthers demonstrated recently when we had to euthanize Turbo, our beloved family pet of 17+ years.
Christina made two visits to our home before the euthanization to diagnose and attempt to treat our pet before determining, via a blood draw and subsequent evaluation, that he was entering into terminal kidney failure. This was a dramatically different (better!) experience than I am confident we all would have had if we had gone to an emergency pet hospital.

Even though all care was provided during the Christmas holidays, Christina was always prompt with her response to our inquiries and complete in her explanation of all findings. She was even in contact on at least two occasions with the veterinary clinic that had been Turbo’s provider for many years, obtaining medical records and soliciting information from them. For all of this, we are most grateful.

Compassionate care for a peaceful passing.
Dr. Jason has a huge heart filled with compassion. He is very personable and down to earth. Dr. Jason answered all our questions and thoroughly explained the euthanasia process and aftercare choices from start to finish. Although heartbroken, our family felt at peace every step of the way thanks to Dr. Jason. I would highly recommend his services and would definitely use Dr. Jason again. Thank you for making this very difficult process a peaceful transition for our beloved Shadow and ourselves.

Such compassion during a difficult time
We cannot express our gratitude enough for Dr. Jason and the services he provided to our family over the weekend. We had two elderly dogs that we said goodbye to. All our adult children were here, and he was kind and caring during the whole process. He answered every question with kindness, and we could tell his heart hurt with ours, even though we knew we were doing the right thing. It was such a peaceful and calm moment for our dogs, and I am so thankful we could take care of them in their final moments in their own home, on their beds, without fear.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jason and his team if you are ever faced with this difficult decision, it is by far the most peaceful way to say goodbye to your pets!

Gentle Hands is the best!
I experienced a very hard decision that I had to make to put my 16 year dog Lucky down. Lucky was a very compassionate dog and had lived a very long life, but still it is not easy to put your best friend down even if you know he is suffering with multiple health issues. What I did know was that I could not take him somewhere to have him put down. Because Lucky was a family friend to my sisters, nieces, great nephews and niece. I wanted them to be able to come not only for support for me but for Lucky too.

So I contacted Gentle hands and Dr. Goodwin came about 6 months ago to assess Lucky’s health. We decided we would just let him go through the aging process. Well I contacted them again a couple of weeks ago and yet another med was prescribed. After a couple of weeks I decided it was time to let my little friend go. So I called Dr. Goodwin again and set the date. I had never been through this before, but Dr. Goodwin’s gentleness and explaining the steps helped me to know Lucky was in good hands. While I cried through the process it was seamless and my family and I could say nothing but good things about Dr.Goodwin. His is such a gentle soul with much compassion. If you find yourself reading this review, contact them as they are the very Best !

Amazing service
We are a heart broken family who said goodbye to our 16 year old Maltese Lucky today. We are so grateful for Dr. Jason, who was so kind and respectful. As a momma bear I really appreciated how he also included my kiddos in the conversation and worried about our other 2 fur kids. We will always recommend Dr. Jason to anyone who has to travel the road we did today. Thank you, Dr. Jason!!

Only way to go
I used Gentle Hands for my grandcat while he was in my care. The doctor was so gentle and actually thought Smokey had a little more time. When it was the right time, Smokey went to his final sleep in a home where he was comfortable and loved w/ot the stress of going to an office. I will never do it another way and now my friend’s dog is ready as well and will be referring her to this organization. Thank you so much for you gentle love and care.
